These Homemade Crunch Bars are a quick, no-bake chocolate treat with the perfect crispy bite. Made with crispy rice cereal, chocolate, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil, they come together easily and taste even better than store-bought candy bars.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some extra paper over the sides to help lift the bars out later.
  2. Add the crispy rice cereal to a large mixing bowl and set it aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil.
  4. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each one, until the mixture is fully melted, smooth, and glossy.
  5. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the crispy rice cereal.
  6. Gently fold everything together with a spatula until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  8. Press it down firmly and evenly into one compact layer using the back of a spatula.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
  10. Lift the block out using the parchment paper, place it on a cutting board, and slice into squares or bars.

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature if your kitchen is cool, or keep them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

For longer storage, wrap individual bars in parchment paper and freeze them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 6 months.
